BuilderNiche is scheduling, documents and budgets for residential builders. If something is not working, or you want it to do something it does not, write to support@builderniche.com and a person will answer.

If it is urgent — a schedule that will not load with trades turning up tomorrow — say so in the subject line.

Getting in

You cannot sign in. Use forgotten your password and follow the link that arrives. If nothing arrives, check spam, then write to us — an address can be wrong by one letter in a way nobody notices for months.

Nobody has set you up. Accounts are created by the builder you work for, from their People page, not by signing up. Ask them to add you and you will get a temporary password.

On your phone

Installing it. On an iPhone, open the address in Safari, tap the share button and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, Chrome’s menu has Add to Home screen. It then opens like an app, and the photo button goes straight to the camera.

Notifications are not arriving. On an iPhone these only work once the app is on your home screen — Safari in an ordinary tab cannot do them at all. Install it first, open it from the icon, then turn them on under Your account.

Location at clock-in. Refusing it is fine and your hours still record normally. BuilderNiche takes a single position at the moment you clock in or out and never follows anyone around; the privacy page sets out exactly what is stored.

Your data

Everything is backed up daily, and encrypted copies are kept off-site. If you have deleted something you needed, write to us the same day — the sooner you ask, the more likely it is still in a backup.

To close your account, see deleting your account. You can do it yourself, from inside the app, without asking anyone.

Who runs this

BuilderNiche is built and run by Southern Tradesman Co, a residential builder in Tennessee, for its own jobs first. That is the reason it works the way it does.
