Deleting your account

You can delete your own account from inside BuilderNiche, at any time, without asking anyone and without contacting us.

Sign in → Your account → Delete your login. You type your password to confirm, and it is done immediately.

What deleting your login removes

Your name, email address, phone number and password are erased, every device you registered for notifications is unregistered, and you are signed out everywhere, permanently. Your email address is released, so you could start again later with it.

What stays is the record of work: a photo still shows the date it was uploaded, a job still shows when it was created. Those are facts about a building, and they belong to the builder who is still running that job. They show as having been done by a deleted user.

Deleting a whole company

An owner can delete the entire company from the same page — every job, task, photo, document, budget, lead, trade, shift and login. This is genuinely irreversible, so it does not happen straight away: everyone with a login is emailed, and any owner can cancel for 7 days. After that it is destroyed and there is no copy anyone can ask us to hand back.

If you are not an owner, only an owner of your company can do this. We will not do it on your behalf on a request from somebody who is not one.

Backups

Worth being straight about: after something is deleted it can still exist in a backup taken before you deleted it, until that backup rolls off in the normal course of things. BuilderNiche keeps the most recent 14 daily backups. They are never searched or used for anything except restoring after a failure.

If you cannot sign in

Try resetting your password first, since that puts the deletion back in your own hands. If you still cannot get in, write to support@builderniche.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
